Dear Mayai:
My bridesmaids are driving me nuts! They argue
constantly over everything and they compete about everything too. Should
I get them all the same present or buy gifts that are more individual and
personal? Also, what do I get them? I don't have a lot of money, but I don't
want to look cheap either.
Mayai's Answer: Hello, sorry to hear about your bridesmaids
driving you nuts! Hopefully the bridesmaids will realize what they should
be focusing on being a bridesmaid literally (smiles).
Usually I would say to give everyone an individual and personalized
gift but in this situation I would suggest that the gift would be uniform
but personalized. For example you could give them all personalized stationary
in their favorite color. The gift is uniformed but is personalized with their
name or favorite color.
The following are three traditional gifts: silver key chain, zodiac
charm, silver pocket mirror. Tickets to their favorite movie, restaurant,
play, leather monogrammed cosmetic bag, favorite book, or a leather personalized
journal, crystal animal paper weight by Mikasa would be a trendy and updated
gift from a 2k bride. $20 can take you a long way if your on a budget and
plan early. It takes time to find the perfect gift especially when you are
on or under a budget.
